Contributions of the dissertation:

  • Generalizing fundamental theory on small and medium-sized businesses, supporting industry and suggesting theoretical issues on the development of small and medium-sized businesses and supporting industry.
  • Synthetizing experience on the development of small and medium-sized businesses and supporting industry from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and suggesting experience lessons to the development of small and medium-sized businesses and supporting industry in Vietnam.
  • Checking and assessing policies on the development of small and medium-sized businesses and supporting industry. Evaluating the situation of the development of small and medium-sized businesses and supporting industry in Vietnam in general and within two majors electronics and textile industry in particular.
  • Based on the analysis of national and international contexts, the dissertation proposed a system of viewpoints and directions to develop small and medium-sized businesses in Vietnamese supporting industries in the coming time. It also suggests eight comprehensive and feasible solutions to support small and medium-sized businesses in supporting industry.
